Socratic Discussion Practicum
House Program Seminar
August 4 – 6, 2022
The Socratic Discussion Practicum (2 1/2 days) is designed to help teachers learn the distinctives and grow in the habits of good discussion. Teachers will practice leading and assessing discussion and create plans to improve discussions across the grammar, logic, and rhetoric phases.
The House Program Seminar (2 days) provides an overview of the purpose, structure, and day-to-day logistics of a House system to help schools start or improve their House Program with the goal of teaching students to be culture-builders.
