Alden Dale

B.A. in Liberal Arts with a double minor in Philosophy and Theology from Thomas Aquinas College. 

Mr. Dale is the Senior Analyst at Inverta LLP, a digital marketing agency. He has five children, two of which attend The Ambrose School, three others who will attend once old enough. He joined the board in 2019.

Tim Pauls
Secretary

B.A. in Pre-Theology from Concordia University (Portland), M.Div. from Concordia Seminary (St. Louis). 

Rev. Pauls has two graduates of the school and joined the board in 2010.

Church Affiliation: Pastor, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church

Michael Colby

BS and MS in Engineering from the University of Washington, Juris Doctor from Duke Law. 

Mr. Colby is an attorney and founder of Colby Nipper, an Intellectual Property Boutique law firm. His four children attended Ambrose, one graduated at Hillsdale, and he has taught a preceptorial at the school since 2014.

Stephen Sawyer

Mr. Sawyer is a realtor at Crosswinds Realty and has twenty five years in commercial construction. He is a graduate of Logos School in Moscow, Idaho and  has three children, one graduate of Ambrose and two currently attending the school.

Church Affiliation: Eagle Christian Church

Geoff Francian

B.A. in Biblical Studies from San Diego Christian College. 

Mr. Francian and his wife Devin have two boys attending the school. He joined the board in 2023.

Wade Ortego

Wade Ortego

B.S., Business, Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee; M.Ed., Abilene Christian University. 

Mr. Ortego is an experienced leader in classical Christian education. He has served schools across the country with a focus on Christian integration of the Western Tradition as a means of cultivating and sustaining a biblical worldview. He has three children, two graduates of Ambrose and one enrolled. He is currently serving as the Head of Schools.

Scott Yenor
Chairman

Professor of political philosophy at Boise State University. B.A., University of Wisconsin, M.A. and Ph.D from Loyola University. 

Dr. Yenor has one child at the school and four graduates. He is one of the longest serving Board members, and is a tenured professor and national speaker on issues of family and civic life.
