The Ambrose School accepts no federal or state money. Our accrediting agency (the ACCS) shares this value of independence. This focus allows us to take students further without diverting resources to Individual Education Programs or other federal or state mandates.
Having said this, we want able students to succeed at our school. For some types of learning disabilities, we recommend special programs which are paid for by the parent. Our primary goal is to assist parents in the education of their children. We do consider specialized adaptations through our Parent-Student Improvement Plan (PSIP). When we believe an adaptation can be made for a student without adversely impacting the teacher’s resources, we may make accommodations.
While we do serve families with students diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, and Aspergers Syndrome, we do not provide the type of accommodations available at other schools. We will allow attendance to anyone who can meet our academic entrance and family requirements.
